This is a series about people living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia in an assisted living in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. When I first started this series I was photographing people I thought were suffering and just waiting out the rest of their lives. What turned out, was something completely different, I photographed them as they are living out the rest of their lives. I started this to primarily photograph my great grandmother, Treva Yohe. Many people asked me why I do what I do, and it’s simply because of her. This simply collection inspired my need to discover how the rest of the world lives with this disease.
